Conducting a literature search

A literature search involves researching, reading, analysing, evaluating, and summarising literature (typically journals and articles) about a specific topic. The results of a literature search may be a presentation, report, QI project, grant proposal or published article. When starting a research project it is important to see what has been done before, identify gaps and areas for further development.
